Why I Don’t Celebrate Christmas (and still love God)

Yep — I don’t celebrate Christmas.
Yep – I still love and serve my Creator.
It has nothing to do with an aversion to cinnamony smells and sweet treats…
but it has everything to do with Who I worship and what He desires.

Here are some of the reasons why I no longer celebrate Christmas.

Reason #1: Materialism
With the bazillion sales that transpire during the season and the multitudes of shoppers that emerge – too often spending their savings, going beyond their budget, charging up credit cards, putting off paying their bills and even taking out loans -, it’s a no-brainer to see how materialistic the season is (as an overall whole).
(for arguments sake, acknowledgment is made that there is a minority that does not fall into this category).

Reason #2: Gift giving = love
Perhaps that sounds like a ridiculous equation… and it is.
